A Strategic Partnership: Lindsay Exhibit Group + Pilz at Automate 2025
In November 2024, Pilz approached Lindsay Exhibit Group with a clear mission: to elevate their trade show presence with the support of a reliable, local exhibit partner. For years, their exhibit properties had been scattered across warehouses in Illinois and Ohio, creating logistical challenges and inefficiencies.
With new marketing leadership in place and U.S. headquarters based in Canton, Pilz was ready to consolidate and refine its approach. The timing was perfect, and so was the alignment of values. Pilz, a global leader in industrial safety technology, was looking for a partner who could help them not only streamline their exhibit logistics but also amplify their visual impact on the show floor. The result was a new and exciting collaboration, kicking off with the Automate 2025 show in Detroit.
Starting with Strategy: Inventory Review & Creative Planning
Our first task was to bring all of Pilz’s exhibit assets to the Lindsay Exhibit Group (LEG) facility. Together, our teams meticulously unpacked and reviewed each crate to determine what could be reused and what had reached the end of its life.
The biggest cost-saving discovery? The existing exhibit frames, which we supplemented with LEG rental inventory to build a completely refreshed 20×30 split island booth. This smart mix of owned and rented assets laid the foundation for a modern, functional, and visually striking exhibit, without the cost of starting from scratch.
Bringing Safety to Life Through Experience
As a company renowned for cutting-edge safety equipment, Pilz’s goal was to showcase their technology in an interactive and compelling way. Working closely with their engineers, LEG designed and fabricated:
- A safety cage exhibit simulating real shop floor conditions
- Two engaging technology demos highlighting Pilz’s innovation
This collaboration extended beyond design. We welcomed Pilz engineers into our showroom to install and test their equipment well before the show. This gave the team time to fine-tune each element and ensure that everything was running smoothly before shipping out to Huntington Place in Detroit. LEG’s flexibility allowed the Pilz teams to adapt in real time, which is always crucial when working with a high-tech client.
Seamless Execution from Start to Finish
Throughout the fabrication process, the Pilz team visited our showroom to view progress, test demos, and see how the pieces were coming together. This preview offered peace of mind and ensured that what showed up on the show floor would not only work but would look outstanding.
Details like a 3D halo-lit logo sign and cleanly mounted product boards elevated the aesthetic and added finishing touches that really made the space shine. From freight coordination to install & dismantle, LEG managed every logistical aspect of the booth. Our onsite support team was present at setup and remained on standby throughout the show prep to assist with any last-minute needs. This gave Pilz the freedom to focus on preparing their team and perfecting their message.
Looking Ahead
The partnership with Pilz didn’t end with Automate 2025. We’re already working together on the next show, this time with a smaller booth footprint that still maximizes existing assets, complemented by LEG rentals, for a cohesive, on-brand presentation. Our team will again support everything from transportation logistics to pre-show planning, ensuring another seamless experience.
